What is Life Teen?
Life Teen is place where teenagers have fun learning about their faith and uncover the richness of all that is awesome about the Catholic Church. It’s a place where they are proud to bring their friends.
As a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.
Life Teen at Saint Joseph’s is comprised of three weekly programs, Confirmation, Relentless, and Bible Study.
We offer many options for teens who want to get confirmed. It’s vital that they learn as much as they can about the Catholic faith in order to practice their faith fully as an adult. We offer a few options for them to learn their faith. They can choose from the following: Church Study, Home Study, and Catholic School. For those who choose Church Study, we typically focus on confirmation instruction in 8th and 9th grade and the teen receives the sacrament of Confirmation early on in 10th grade. Our 9th grade confirmation students can choose to come to our Sunday Life Teen Program from 6:00-8:00 in Marist Hall or to our Wednesday Bible Study Program, from 6:30-8:00 in the Life Teen Room. Those who choose Home Study will order the materials, do the work at home and receive help from their parents. Our Catholic School students will receive their instruction at school and focus on the specific Confirmation portion with us on Retreat or a one-day event held at the church for Catholic School kids only. All of our students are required to attend one of our retreats during the year. See below for details. To Register, contact Yvonne Waits at firstname.lastname@example.org or (770) 422-5633 ext 55
See 2017-18 Parent Packet for more details.
Our bible study program is strong and interesting for all teens. We address issues that they are dealing with and make the scriptures come alive for them. Teens who attend our BIBLE STUDY program learn to go to the bible for answers in life and to root themselves in the truth. We have teens in our Bible Study who are preparing for Confirmation and those who have already been confirmed. All teens are welcome. We meet from 6:30-8:00 on Wednesdays in the Life Teen Room and serve snacks. To Register, Contact Yvonne Waits at email@example.com or (770) 422-5633 ext 55
All of our programs follow the Cobb County school / Church PSR schedule
