Sacraments

At Saint Joseph Catholic Church we welcome all those who would like to participate in our sacraments with formal preparation as provided by the Catholic Church.  The Archdiocese of Atlanta have guidelines for Sacramental preparation which can be found here: Sacramental Preparation Guide.

Sacraments in Scripture

While there are numerous references to the Sacraments of Initiation and Penance in both Scripture and the Catechism, these are foundational:
Baptism Mt. 3:13-17 & 28:19; Mk. 1:9-11; Lk. 3:21-22; Jn. 3:3-8
Confirmation Jn. 14:26 & 16:7-15; Acts 2:1-4 & 8:17
Eucharist Mt. 26:17-19, 26-30; Mk. 14: 12-16, 22-26; Lk. 22:7-20 & 24:13-25; Jn. 6; 1 Cor. 11:23-29
Penance Lk. 15 & Jn. 20:22

NON-Sacramental Years

It is highly encouraged that children attend PSR classes during non-sacrament years.  For High School, we offer a post-Confirmation program called Relentless.  Information can be found on the Relentless Page.

For information on the individual sacraments we offer at Saint Joseph's, please visit each individual page.
