Beware of COVID-19 Scams and Sammers!
As we've seen daily on local and national news broadcasts, scams and scammers have been more widespread during this Coronavirus pandemic. It's disheartening, but many of these people have no limits and unfortunately Churches are not off limits to their malicious acts. In fact, because of the kindness and generosity of Belivers and many in the elderly community, we are more susceptible to some of these scams. We would like our Parishioners to be mindful, Monsignor Walsh nor anyone on staff at Saint Joseph Catholic Church will contact you via email or phone asking for money towired to them directly nor to the Church. We would also not ask our Parishioners to send any gift cards to our staff nor the Church. If you recieve any such e-mail, please delete it as they are "phishing" e-mails and not from anyone at the Church. Please also know there is no one at St. Joseph that will call you to request personal information such as your SSN, banking information, nore any type of computer login information. We would also not connect our Parishioners asking them to purchase any coronavirus test kits, face masks or any other types of purchases.
The health, safety, and well-being of SJCC's Parishioners is a priority for Monsignor Walsh and all of the staff at Saint Joseph Catholic Church, and we want to ensure you remain informed. Please click the link below for more information and updates!
