A Note from Monsignor Walsh
This past week Archbishop Gregory released the names of the priests who served in the Archdiocese who are credibly accused of sexual abuse of a minor. Please click here to see the list.
Of the 14 priests listed (one is a seminarian) 7 are deceased and the rest have been removed from ministry.
I know that nothing we do or say can ever undo the pain, hurt, and shame that was felt by the victims. These people went through Hell on earth and the Church abandoned them. We will have to answer for the serious sins that were committed.
It is the duty of all of us to provide a safe environment for our children. We must work together by instructing our children and doing background checks on all who work with children. All cases of abuse must be reported.
Yours in Christ,
Monsignor John Walsh
If you are a victim of abuse by clergy, an employee, or a volunteer in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, or if you know of anyone who has been a victim of such misconduct, please contact the civil authorities and the Archdiocesan Abuse Report Line (1-888-437-0764).

Welcome to Saint Joseph Catholic Church!
I want to welcome you to Saint Joseph Catholic Church. Since I arrived here, I have been impressed with the welcome of the people, the activities of the parish, and the quality of the liturgies. It is a faith community full of energy, enthusiasm, and, most importantly, people who want to serve the Lord and one another. I believe that you will also find Saint Joseph to be a wonderful parish!
Most of all, I look forward to getting to know you. I pray that as we walk on our journey together here at Saint Joseph, we will continue to grow in the Lord. If I can assist you in any way, please feel free to contact me.
Yours in Christ,
Monsignor John Walsh, Pastor
