The Archbishop of Atlanta's Initiative for Faith Formation in the Arch Diocese of Atlanta that includes the following 4 pillars.

Lowering the Age of Confirmation Chart

Faith 365 Challenge:

September - The Mass

  • Attend Mass weekly and practice Genuflecting to the Tabernacle.
  • Listen to the Parish Hallow Challenge "Biblical Walk through of the Mass"
  • Discuss the readings from Mass at home. Using questions like, "What do you remember?", "Was there something about the readings you didn't understand?", "What is one thing from the readings that we can implement as a family?"
  • Try memorizing the Scripture from Family Table: 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

4 Pillars at Saint Joseph

  1. Family Table & Faith 365 Challenge
  2. Family Table - Parents and Children attend once a month and learn as a Family in Parish Community.
  3. Faith 365 Challenge - Families will be given a tasks to practice living their Faith as a family at home, and we will discuss as a group at the next Family Table session.
  4. The other 2 weeks of the month families will divide into Age Group formation to continue to be filled at their developmental level.
  5. Elementary - Embark, Middle School - EDGE, High School - Life Teen, Adult - Journey

  7. Confirmation prep will move down one year at a time beginning in the 2027-2028 Formation year. Please look at the "Lowering the Age of Confirmation" chart to know when your child will receive Confirmation.

  9. Year 1 Confirmation Prep - 8th Grade
  10. Year 2 Confirmation Prep - 9th Grade
  11. Receive Sacrament - August of 10th Grade

  13. Impact & The Woodshop
  14. Impact - NEW Middle School opportunities outside of weekly EDGE programming to go deeper, experience additional service and social opportunities, and invite your friends!
  15. The Woodshop - NOW OPEN to ALL High School Students. Meets weekly after the 5:30 Life Teen Mass for conversations about how to live out the Faith and continue developing personal prayer life skills, as well as, specific retreats and socials.
  16. To register for either program, please fill out the "Optional Youth Ministry" form above.
  17. Additional Adult Formation offered on Age Group Weeks at every session time.
