REFUGEE FAMILY CONNECTIONS

For the sixth year in a row, Saint Joseph is participating in the Catholic Charities Atlanta Christmas Connections Program. Last year, through the generosity of parishioners, 141 children and adults were provided with toys, clothing, household items and grocery gift cards totaling nearly $16,000 in donations. 

We hope that you will consider this opportunity to share your blessings with others. We are partnering with the Refugee Services program of Catholic Charities Atlanta. Refugees represent some of the most vulnerable, but resilient, members of society. All families participating in this program have been screened by case workers at Catholic Charities Atlanta and need your help. 

Here’s How It Works: Contact Jennifer Squire at jdsquire@gmail.com or 404-877-2386 to indicate if you would prefer to shop for gifts for an individual child, a small family (families with 2-4 family members including adults) or a large family (families with 5 or more members including adults). Next, you will receive a wish list via email about the child or family. The wish list will include the names, ages, and suggested gift items. You will also receive packing instructions. As a donor, you are asked to provide 2-3 gifts per family member and a food gift certificate. The estimated cost of donation is $75-100 per family member for gifts and $25 per family member for the food gift certificate.

Drop-off Location & Time: All gifts need to be dropped off at Marist Hall on Saturday, December 13 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
